Meet the team - John McWhirter, Factory Manager.

I moved to Cotteswold Dairy in the late 1990s having been made redundant from a similar role at another Dairy-based near Guildford Surrey. It has been a great challenge and my role has never stopped developing as the Company has continued to change over the years.

People are the key and I have been privileged to work with many excellent individuals past and present.

We are a great team and together take raw milk from our local farms, process, pack and distribute it to most of Wales and Southern England. I am constantly in awe of the dedication shown by all our teams, enabling customers to get what they want on time day after day.

Our success is because of this and we deliver great quality and service daily.

We have overcome many challenges during my time here; snow, floods, petrol shortages, Covid and now Staff shortages.

All I know, is that by reacting and improving, we are determined to succeed and together build a sustainable business that gives the opportunity for employees to develop and grow with us.

Our new Chilled Warehouse and Staff facilities which will be completed later this year marks the next stage in the Company’s development and will deliver many benefits and new opportunities.
